Jewish Culture and Traditions

From the feedback she has received from readers and publishers around the world, she has learned that her readers generally want two things:

In short, they want to be able to learn about what others do and think so they can decide for themselves what they believe.

Global Travel and Customs

Jan’s interest in travel also reflects her viewpoint that every culture and viewpoint deserves respect and appreciation. She has lived in six countries and traveled in 23, and holds a Bachelors in Spanish from Simon Fraser University, in Burnaby, B.C. Canada. These days she writes primarily on Northwest Canada and U.S. travel and recreation. Her articles and content have been published in several major online publications such as B.C. Adventure, World Travel Guide and Go Northwest, as well as in print.

Jan's articles and blog posts on Judaism have been published in Voices of Conservative/Masorti Judaism and the popular Jewish website The Daily Rabbi. Her blog on Jewish traditions around the world can be found at The Multicultural Jew.

Her residency these days is split between B.C. Canada, where she finds her roots, and Idaho, U.S. where she helps to care for a much-loved family member. Her family includes her husband, mother-in-law and threeGerman Shepherds, who teach her every day the joy of living life to the fullest.
